Noce Vein Cut Travertine
Travertine is one of the most beautiful ornamental stones
Travertine is a sedimentary rock with a high degree of porosity that results from the precipitation of calcium carbonate (calcium) from underground waters around hot springs and hot springs saturated with calcium carbonate. Pure travertine is white in color, but we often find it in colors ranging from (brown to yellow) due to the presence of impurities.
Travertine deposits are a dense, compact form of limestone found in Tivoli, Italy, and other areas. It is found most often in the form of layers joined together. Most travertine is white, off-white, reddish, or brown in color. It consists mainly of calcium carbonate, and is formed when calcium carbonate separates from water through evaporation. The water from which it precipitates contains calcium carbonate, hydrocarbon ions and carbon dioxide. Travertine is used to decorate buildings because of its ease of cutting.
Travertine occurs in areas where limestone is abundant, and where the ground's running water contains calcium carbonate. It usually forms around hot springs and in streams. The rock formations in the caves, called stalactites and stalagmites, contain mainly travertine.
There are different types of travertine, divided according to color and hue. In the language of this industry, we can divide the different types of travertine as follows:
